01 / RESEARCH AREAS

Current technical focus

MindMesh investigates the systems that connect physical signals to usable software. These areas describe current work while the lab remains open to new research directions.

01

Sensing & measurement

mmWave radar, UWB two-way ranging, data acquisition, and configurable range fusion in prototype work.

RADAR / UWB
02

Edge software

Local-first processing, real-time telemetry, and device messaging around embedded compute.

JETSON / FASTAPI / MQTT
03

RADAR + RANGING PROTOTYPE

Radar/UWB range-fusion prototype

A prototype brings mmWave radar and two-way UWB ranging into a desktop research workflow with configurable weighting and disagreement flags.

Hardware
TI IWR6843AOP radar and two Qorvo DWM3001CDK UWB devices.
Data handling
mmWave TLV binary parser, UWB JSON parser, and USB time-multiplexer.
Fusion
Configurable weighted-average range fusion with a disagreement-threshold flag.
Visualization
Custom Electron/Three.js serial viewer connected through an Electron IPC bridge.

EDGE SOFTWARE + SIMULATION

Local-first monitoring workstream

Later research includes a mmWave and NVIDIA Jetson elderly-care monitoring prototype, with related telemetry infrastructure and simulation work.

Edge services
Python/FastAPI real-time telemetry APIs and AI workflows.
Messaging
MQTT links sensors, processing, and device commands, with reconnect, backpressure, and tracing.
Local stack
Mosquitto, InfluxDB, and an on-premises LLM edge stack.
Simulation
Browser digital twin using Gazebo, ROS 2, Three.js, and MQTT for simulation and monitoring.
RESEARCH STATUS

The elderly-care monitoring work remains a research prototype. It is not a clinically validated product.

03 / ENGINEERING
